It's finally happening on 20 June – we can't wait to welcome you to the state capital Wiesbaden! To make sure your race day runs smoothly, we've put together all the important information. Please take a moment to read through the updates.
Wiesbaden will be buzzing on 20 June: a FIFA World Cup match will fill the city centre and pedestrian zones, and major construction work is ongoing at Schlossplatz. To ensure a safe and smooth race experience, we have relocated the event in coordination with the authorities:
- → New event location & Start/Finish: Kranzplatz (not Schlossplatz!) – this is where you'll find the Expo, bib collection, Start, Finish, toilets and refreshments.
- → Updated course: The route has been adjusted to avoid fan crowds in the pedestrian zone and the construction site. Current course maps are below.
☀️ Weather & Hydration
Forecasts indicate a warm summer day. We're adapting our setup to make sure you reach the finish safely and well hydrated.
We're setting up additional aid stations. Every 1.5 km you'll find refreshments and drinks – use every opportunity to hydrate!
The course passes through several shaded sections. Take advantage of these to recover and cool down.
Our team is in close contact with local authorities and the German Weather Service (DWD). All scenarios are monitored – any last-minute changes will be communicated immediately.
- Start hydrating now & top up electrolytes
- Bring a cap & sunscreen on race day
- Ease off training intensity in the final days
- Listen to your body – and enjoy the atmosphere!
- The hard work is done – easy runs only, tapering
- Sleep well and top up carbohydrates
- Reduce training intensity in the last few days
